Deep Roots Farm Stand – Tomatoes
Tomatoes were domesticated by the Aztecs around 700 AD, and today, the tomato is part of recipes around the world. Tomatoes which are “indeterminate” will grow tall like a vine and need to be trellised. They will continue to produce right up until first frost. Determinate varieties are more compact and produce up until they reach their full height. These plants thrive in full sun and heat, and do not need lots of compost or fertilizer.
