In theory, just about any plant can be grown in a container if the root system has enough soil in which to grow. This selection of plants are well suited for container gardens as they are compact plants by nature. Container gardening can bring a harvest to any space, as long as there is adequate sun and water. The most challenging part of a container garden is making sure they are watered daily. All plants appreciate good drainage so that their soil is not constantly soggy.
